A conservation puzzle about old clothes, where erasing every mark is the wrong answer. Sweep the dust, read the material and two provenance clues, stitch and press what is damaged, then decide which traces to preserve and which to remove before choosing a mount and an exhibition theme. Thirty garments, eight material classes, eight garment forms, ten short fictional records and four exhibition rooms.
Clean and examine each garment, tell an old repair from new shipping tape, choose how far to restore it, then mount it and write the case into the archive.
